AceShowbiz - While Gal Gadot's "Wonder Woman" solo movie is coming to theaters next summer, the creator of the infamous comic book superhero is getting his own movie. Deadline brings the words that Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions has secured the worldwide rights for the biopic of Dr. William Moulton Marston.

Angela Robinson ("Charlie's Angels", "True Blood") is attached to pen the script and direct the movie which is titled "Professor Marston & the Wonder Women". Sources say that the production on the upcoming biopic has already begun. Luke Evans, Rebecca Hall and Bella Heathcote are set to star as Marston, his wife Elizabeth Marston and Olive Byrne respectively.

Along with the announcement, the studio has released the logline which reads, "In a superhero origin tale unlike any other, this is the true story of 1940s Harvard psychologist Dr. William Moulton Marston, the inventor of the lie detector and creator of the iconic Wonder Woman, who defends his feminist superhero against charges of 'sexual perversity' while at the same time maintaining a secret that could have destroyed him."

"Unknown to others, Marston's inspiration for Wonder Woman was his wife Elizabeth Marston and their lover Olive Byrne, two empowered women in the field of psychology who defied convention, building a secret life together with Marston that rivaled the greatest of superhero disguises."

Evans stars in the just-released "The Girl on the Train" alongside Emily Blunt. He recently wrapped production on Disney's live-action adaptation of the animated classic "Beauty and the Beast". Meanwhile, Hall was last seen in Steven Spielberg's "The BFG". As for Heathcote, she will appear in "Fifty Shades Darker" opposite Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson.
