Movie

The 'Kingdom' actor poses with his co-star Jack Black in the jungle, where the adventure movie has been filmed.

AceShowbiz - Nick Jonas has arrived on "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" set. After missing from a set photo and videos previously shared by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the singer/actor took to his own Instagram to share his first photo on the set of the re-imagining of the 1995 film of the same title.

The former Jonas Brothers member posed with his co-star Jack Black in the jungle. While you can't see their full costumes, the 24-year-old star appeared to wear a casual outfit and the comedian rocked his attire as Professor Shelly Oberon.

Jonas used a funny filter that made their face look distorted in the image. "Oh hey there... @jackblack #jumanji," he captioned it.

Jonas' role in the upcoming adventure movie is still kept under wraps. The Rock plays "The Smoldering" Dr. Bravestone, Karen Gillan is Ruby Roundhouse, and Kevin Hart stars as Moose Finbar. Gillan received backlash for her "child sized clothes," but the actress has said that "there is a reason" for it.

We're in the raining #JumanjiJungle baby! Jack Black's "Gonna watch you bleeeed" at the end kills me. °ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½°ï¿½ï¿½ï¿½°ï¿½ï¿½¾ Phenomenal first week of shooting with my extremely talented and funny co-stars @kevinhart4real, @karengillanofficial and our resident rock and roller Jack Black! We've been battling the jungle elements daily and director Jake Kasdan and hard working boots on the ground film crew is raising the bar when it comes to delivering the goods. Meanwhile, Mashable's Jeff Sneider has revealed potential plot detail of the movie. "JUMANJI sequel said to follow 4 teens in detention who get sucked into the game, where they take on new 'avatar' forms to locate a jewel," he tweeted. He also reported that three young actors, Alex Wolff, Ser'Darius Blain and Madison Iseman, had been added to the cast.

Said to be the continuation of the original pic, the new "Jumanji" movie is directed by "Bad Teacher" helmer Jake Kasdan from a script provided by Scott Rosenberg and Jeff Pinkner. Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers pen the original draft based on Chris Van Allsburg's Caldecott Medal-winning adventure book. It is due out July 28, 2017 in the United States.
