The TV web series about the Rayburn family is promised to have an 'exciting climax' when it ends with third season next year.

AceShowbiz - "Bloodline" is confirmed to conclude after the upcoming third installment. Netflix decides not to pick up the web TV series starring Kyle Chandler for fourth season. The cancellation was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter before it was confirmed by the streaming service.

"Bloodline season three will be the show's final season," said Cindy Holland, Netflix vice president of original content. "Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler (KZK) are thoughtful and visionary storytellers, who lead a prestigious cast, that includes Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn, who have both garnered two Emmy nominations for their roles on the series. Together, with our collaborative partners at Sony Pictures Television, they created a seductive show that Netflix viewers worldwide love and continue to discover. We are looking forward to the exciting climax KZK have in store for the series conclusion in May 2017."

The show about the Rayburns who harbor dark secrets within the family was renewed for season 3 this summer. The final installment is scheduled to premiere in 2017. The series creators originally envisioned it as a five- or six-season run. "When we pitched it," Zelman told THR, "we were thinking five to six seasons down the line because we wanted to make sure it could hold that much material. So we certainly have ideas for where everything could go and hopefully where everything will go."
