The 'Rise' hitmaker might have just nailed the lead single for her upcoming album.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry might have just found the first song for her new album. On Tuesday, September 6, the "This Is How We Do It" hitmaker took to Twitter to tease fans about her new music with a cryptic message.
Katy wrote, "Caught one." The "Rise" songstress added a relieved-face emoji paired with fishing and musical notes emojis. Fans are speculating the 31-year-old singer-songwriter either found her lead single or recorded a song which will be featured on her new record.

Katy recently opened up about her forthcoming album during an interview with Elvis Duran. "Last night I was in the studio, I'm just deep in the writing process," she shared, "It takes a bit of time for me to [write] because I have to have those experiences and then write about them. I have to digest what I'm seeing and recycle it and give my perspective on it."
Katy explained, "I'm working with a lot of unexpected writers and producers and ... that's bringing out a lot of different things sonically. Even when I was working with my go-to producers, I'd always push them to play me a beat that was reserved for Three 6 Mafia or something like that ... I know exactly how to write a lyric over that because my strengths are melody and lyrics. I'm putting myself in unexpected situations and that is breeding a lot of new color."
Previous report said Katy would release her fourth studio album in October or November. "Katy loves performing, so a large part of 2017 is already put aside for a huge world tour," a source told Britain's Heat Magazine, "She's ready to be back and be the biggest thing in pop. Her new album will be out in October or November, and the industry is really excited about it."
Katy's new album will have a potential collaboration with Rae Sremmurd's Swae Lee, who told Complex that the "Fireworks" singer recorded a song he wrote for her. "I wrote this track and [Katy] laid it and it's pretty dope," he said, "She got a lot of style. She about to come with it!"
