The former 'Community' star is getting help for an alcohol-related problem at Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota, with his rep calling the rehab stay a 'tune-up.'

AceShowbiz - Chevy Chase has checked into rehab again. The 72-year-old actor is currently seeking treatment for an alcohol-related issue at Hazelden Addiction Treatment Center in Minnesota, the same place Robin Williams was treated for his alcoholism in 2014.

A rep for the "Community" alum confirms the news to TMZ, calling Chevy's rehab stay a "tune-up." The rep adds that the "National Lampoon" actor and former "Saturday Night Live" cast member "wants to be the best that he can be."

Chevy previously sought treatment at the Betty Ford drug rehabilitation center for a painkiller addiction in 1986. His publicist said at the time that the comedian had developed a "dependency on prescription drugs relating to chronic and long-term back problems" incurred during his days on "SNL".

In 2006, Chevy wrote an op-ed for The New York Times, crediting the late President Gerald Ford's wife, former First Lady Betty Ford, for inspiring him to seek treatment for his addiction problem. "If it hadn't been for the courage of Mr. Ford's wife, Betty, for admitting to an alcohol problem, I would never have received the help I needed in the early 1980s at the Betty Ford clinic, located not far from the Ford residence near Palm Springs," he wrote.

He added, "During my short stay there, I often saw Mrs. Ford personally surveying the clinic and generously offering a helping hand to those who were lucky enough to face their problems and, with the learned help of the clinic staff, appraise their behavior and their lifestyles."
