Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke the Terminator will reportedly be featured as the main antagonist in the superhero flick which also sees Affleck serving as the helmer and the producer.

AceShowbiz - The upcoming stand-alone Batman movie is still left with no release date, but there have been rumblings about the possible villain being featured in the film. TheWrap has reported that the superhero flick starring Ben Affleck as the Caped Crusader will feature Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke as the main antagonist.

The report fuels the speculation fans have made about the Dark Knight fighting against the Terminator in the new "Batman" film. The rumor was sparked after Affleck posted on Twitter on Monday morning, August 29 a cryptic video featuring the said villainous character. In the 27-second video, the iconic assassin can be seen walking toward the camera.

It's unclear if the actor shared the video to debut the first look at the DC villain in his solo film or only to deliberately tease fans. However, a source with knowledge of the situation claims that Deathstroke will indeed be the main villain in the film which also sees Affleck serving as the helmer and the producer.

Created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez, Deathstroke first appeared in 1980's "The New Teen Titans". He is known as the greatest assassin in the DC Comics. The ex-soldier-turned-assassin has encountered the Caped Crusader on several occasions in the comic books, including in 1991's Deathstroke standalone DC comic in the story arc "City of Assassins".

Meanwhile, Affleck will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne a.k.a. Batman in "Justice League" which arrives in U.S. theaters on November 17, 2017. He made his debut as the Caped Crusader in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice". He also appeared in David Ayer's "Suicide Squad" which hit theaters early this month.
