AceShowbiz - Doug Liman has jumped from 21st Century Fox to Warner Brothers. The "Edge of Tomorrow" director bows out of the long-gestating "Gambit" movie and now is attached to serve behind the lens for another comic book adaptation "Justice League Dark" a.k.a. "Dark Universe".
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the split between Liman and Fox was a "mutual parting of ways." Liman was tapped for the project last year after Rupert Wyatt's departure. The "X-Men" spin-off starring Channing Tatum has suffered from numerous delays due to script issues.
While "Gambit" is adapted from Marvel's comics, "Justice League Dark" is based on DC's graphic novels. It revolves around a dark superhero team that consists of John Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna and Etrigan the Demon. No cast member has been announced.
