AceShowbiz - A new picture from Saban's "Power Rangers" has surfaced online. The intriguing image shared on the film's official Instagram account on Monday, August 15 offers a closer look at Elizabeth Banks as the evil alien witch Rita Repulsa.

She can be seen being locked up inside what looks like a glass enclosure and putting her hands on it. The glass is seemingly going to crack open as the humanoid alien witch is preparing to escape from her imprisonment.

"Power Rangers" is slated to hit U.S. theaters on March 24, 2017. Dean Israelite directs the superhero film from a screenplay written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Dacre Montgomery, Ludi Lin and Becky G portray the five Mighty Morphin "Power Rangers". They are joined by Bryan Cranston and David Denman.

The film follows five ordinary high school kids who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove and the world are on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, the heroes discover that they are the only ones who can save the planet, but to do so they have to overcome their real-life issues and band together as the Power Rangers before it is too late.
