His family is reportedly worried about his alcohol issue after he was kicked out of a flight for being drunk and vomiting on the plane.

AceShowbiz - After several times caught back on his old drinking habit, Lamar Odom has made his family worried. Thus, on Friday, July 22, his family staged a surprise intervention in New York. His ex-wife Liza Morales, his aunt JaNean Mercer, his children and several of his cousins were involved in the intervention, Extra reported.

They tried to convince the former Los Angeles Clippers player to enter rehab at the Darryl Strawberry Recovery Center in St. Cloud, Florida. Ron Dock, who has counseled Darryl and is responsible for his recovery, was at the intervention. Darryl himself was joining via Skype.

But Lamar, who was surprised by the intervention, reportedly refused to seek treatment. He left the location, but is still in New York, according to family sources. "Lamar was doing really bad and his family was going to stage an intervention on Friday," an insider also tells Us Weekly.

The sources say the family has not given up and will continue to encourage Lamar to get the help he needs.

The estranged husband of Khloe Kardashian was found unconscious at a brothel in Nevada in October 2015. He survived the near-fatal overdose and Khloe helped him get through his recovery. He was reportedly doing well in his rehab programs, but surprised everyone when he was kicked out of a Delta flight earlier this month for being "very drunk" and vomiting on the plane.

Khloe's mother Kris Jenner said on Australia's "Kylie and Jackie O" on July 15, "I don't know what happened. It was a big surprise to me. All I can say is I just want the very best for him because he's like my son. He's a part of my family and I adore him. He's the best. ... He's the greatest guy in the world and anybody that knows him will tell you the same thing."
