The 'Teen Wolf' actor is tapped in the role of Clark Kent who will visit Melissa Benoist's Kara in the upcoming sophomore season.

AceShowbiz - Meet the alternate version of Superman on "Supergirl"! While the big screen incarnation is played by Henry Cavill, the televised version is set to be portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin. The "teen Wolf" star is expected to play Clark Kent in the upcoming season 2.
"Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman," executive producer Andrew Kreisberg says. "We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character."
The Man of Steel will be visiting his cousin, Melissa Benoist's Kara, in National City. Although it will be his first official introduction, his presence has been felt during the first season. He kept in touch with Kara via online correspondence and appeared as a child during the Black Mercy.
