AceShowbiz - Lionsgate has revealed plans to make seven more "Power Rangers" movies. "We are really, really excited about the 'Power Rangers' movie," CEO Jon Feltheimer says during a conference call with analysts. "We could see doing five or six or seven."

According to Variety, the CEO cited the positive reaction to the upgraded costume as evidence of audience interest. In its first official image, the five Power Rangers ditch the spandex and wear full-body armors, consisting of translucent armor that crystallizes around their bodies.

Directed by Dean Israelite, "Power Rangers" stars Becky G as the Yellow Ranger, Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger, RJ Cyler as the Blue Ranger and Elizabeth Banks as the evil alien witch Rita Repulsa.

To hit U.S. theaters on March 24, 2017, the superhero movie reimagines the origins of the 1995 "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers" which centers on a group of five high school students given extraterrestrial powers to save the world.
