AceShowbiz - Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are headed for divorce for the second time. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star filed for divorce from the former NBA star with the help of attorney Laura Wasser on Thursday, May 26, citing irreconcilable differences.
Sources tell TMZ that the divorce is amicable. There is a prenup and the former couple worked out a property settlement the first time around, so now it's just a waiting game. In California, a divorce cannot become final until 6 months after it's filed.
According to the sources, Khloe and Lamar are on good terms. He was informed about her divorce filing. In the docs, Khloe says that she wants to legally drop the Odom name and go back to her maiden handle.
"Khloe is looking forward to moving on," a source tells E! News.
Khloe initially filed her divorce papers back in December 2013. After Lamar was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel in October 2015, the 31-year-old reality star asked the judge to withdraw the divorce petition, just weeks before the divorce was to become final. The judge granted the petition and the divorce case was over.
