'Supergirl' joins the network's line-up on Mondays, 'Supernatural' is moved to Thursdays, while new shows 'No Tomorrow' and 'Frequency' land on Tuesdays and Wednesdays respectively.

AceShowbiz - The CW's line-up for the 2016-2017 fall season features major shake-up. As it was revealed before, the network acquired "Supergirl", which will keep its old slot Mondays at 8 P.M. on its new home. "Supergirl" will be joined by "Jane the Virgin" on Monday nights.

"We are thrilled to have 'Supergirl' on The CW this fall, joining our popular roster of DC heroes," said CW president Mark Pedowitz. He also promised a "Supergirl", "The Flash", "Arrow" and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" crossover in December, saying, "Just imagine what out superhero crossover episode is going to look like come December."

Of how "Supergirl" move will change the show, Pedowitz said, "We're pretty confident they understand what our needs are. They did have a pretty successful series, the fact that it moved to The CW, where it should've been in the first place, I don't think it'll have an actual effect on what they do."

With "Supergirl" joining the line-up on Mondays, cult favorite "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend" will move to Fridays, being paired with "The Vampire Diaries". "We believe ['TVD'] will give an extra push for...'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'," Pedowitz explained.

"TVD spin-off "The Originals", meanwhile, is pushed to midseason. "Supernatural" is moving to a new slot on Thursdays at 9 P.M., being paired with "Legends of Tomorrow".

Freshman series that will debut this fall include time-travel mystery thriller "Frequency" and pre-apocalypse romantic comedy "No Tomorrow". The former is joining "Arrow" on Wednesdays and the latter is paired with "The Flash" on Tuesdays.

Another new series "Riverdale" as well as returning shows "iZombie", "Reign" and "The 100" are saved for midseason.
