'Veep' and 'Silicon Valley', which will return this Sunday along with 'Game of Thrones', are renewed for season 6 and 4 respectively.

AceShowbiz - "Game of Thrones" is living on through 2017. HBO has officially renewed the hit drama series for a seventh season, a few days before the sixth season premiere on April 24. The renewal announcement does not reveal the number of episodes for season 7.

Recently, it was reported that showrunners David Benioff and D. B. Weiss were considering shorter two final seasons for the medieval series. "I think we're down to our final 13 episodes after this season. We're heading into the final lap," Benioff told Variety earlier this month. "That's the guess, though nothing is yet set in stone, but that's what we're looking at."

The 13 episodes will allegedly be split into two seasons, with the seventh season consisting of 7 episodes and the eighth and potential final season consisting of 6 episodes.

HBO has also renewed "Veep" and "Silicon Valley", ahead of their fifth and third season premiere respectively this Sunday. The renewals bring "Veep" into its sixth season and "Silicon Valley" into its fourth season.
