Drake Announces 'Views from the 6' Release Date, Debuts New Version of 'Pop Style'

The rapper's original track was released earlier this week featuring Kanye West and Jay-Z, collaboratively known as The Throne.

AceShowbiz - As speculated, Drake's new album is dropping the end of this month. The Canadian rapper announced on Beats 1's OVO Sound Radio show on Saturday, April 9 that "Views from the 6" will be released on Friday, April 29.

"Views is dropping April 29," Drake revealed. "It's something that I've been working really hard on, myself and [producer] 40... Trying to craft a lifestyle track, a sound for our city." The album will be exclusively available on Apple Music and iTunes, as part of his deal with the company.

"It's not a short ting [sic]. There's a lot of music on there. You'll have your full share of Drake music for the summer and for the year. Forever," the Toronto native added.

During the show, he also played a new version of his new song with Kanye West and Jay-Z, "Pop Style". The track was released earlier this week in its original version along with "One Dance". Hear the alternative, featuring new verse, below.

"Views from the 6" is Drake's first full-length since 2013's "Nothing Was the Same" and his first release since 2015's mixtapes "If You're Reading This It's Too Late" and "What a Time to Be Alive".
