Movie

AceShowbiz - Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone's "The Boss" has just hit theaters across the nation, but a new project involving the two frequent collaborators is already underway. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress and her husband will reteam for another comedy titled "Life of the Party".

McCarthy will star in the New Line film while Falcone is directing. The pair co-write the script and will co-produce the movie, which is expected to start production in August. Plot details are still scarce, but it's said to be having a similarity in tone to Rodney Dangerfield's "Back to School" (1986).

"Life of the Party" will be McCarthy and Falcone's second project set up at New Line, following 2014 "Tammy" which earned more than $100 million worldwide, five times its $19 million budget. Currently, the husband-and-wife duo is aiming to kick "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" out of the box office's No. 1 spot with their just-arrived "Boss".

McCarthy will next star in the hotly-anticipated "Ghostbusters" reboot, which is set for release in the U.S. on July 15. She'll appear alsongside Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon and Chris Hemsworth in the film directed by Paul Feig. She will also reprise her role as Sookie St. James on Netflix's revival of "Gilmore Girls".
