AceShowbiz - Seth Meyers is a dad. The "Late Night with Seth Meyers" host and his wife Alexi Ashe Meyers welcomed their first child on Sunday, March 27, his rep confirmed to PEOPLE.
The comedian and his human right lawyer wife have yet to reveal the name of their son and details about the arrival, but Seth promised to share more about the baby boy when he appears on his show on Tuesday, March 29.
The couple, who got engaged in July 2013 after dating for five years, first announced that they're expecting their first child back in November 2015. Earlier this month, the 42-year-old comedian shared that he couldn't wait for his first child's arrival. "I'm most looking forward to seeing who it looks like, that's the first thing out of the gate," he said. "Although ... a lot of people have said my wife and I look alike, so I think that's the one thing we know, is that the child will look like us. If not, there's a real problem."
Just a week before his son arrived, Seth took to Instagram to chronicle his struggle to build a crib for his little one. He uploaded a photo of a box and wrote, "This box contains a crib. I am now going to attempt to build it. My wife has already scheduled for her brother to come build it tomorrow. This is my one chance to salvage my dignity!"
