The host sings every line from the song while Martin plays the piano during the laid-back performance, which also includes a cameo from The Roots' Captain Kirk Douglas.

AceShowbiz - Jimmy Fallon showed off his vocals chops in the Monday night, March 21 episode of his talk show, "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon". In a pre-taped segment, the comedian got some help from Chris Martin for an acoustic cover of David Bowie's "Life on Mars?".

The performance was pretty simple. Clad in a black sweatshirt, Fallon spent nearly four minutes impressively singing every line of the song while sitting on a chair close to the Coldplay frontman, who was only there to play the piano.

Midway through the track, The Roots' guitarist Captain Kirk Douglas made a cameo for a guitar solo. He entered the room, threw a mini amplifier on Fallon's lap, did his thing and then left. The host ended the performance by jokingly telling Martin, "Well, you keep working on it."

It wasn't Martin's first time to have covered a David Bowie song since the singer's passing in January. Gwyneth Paltrow's ex previously honored the iconic star with a rendition of "Heroes", which he sang on a keyboard while joining another late-night talk show host James Corden in the "Carpool Karaoke" segment of his "Late Late Show".
