Lambert also brought along his collaborator, Swedish singer/songwriter Laleh, during his appearance on the show Thursday night, March 17.

AceShowbiz - Adam Lambert's the latest "American Idol" alum to return to the singing competition. The singer appeared in the show's Thursday night, March 17 episode to deliver the first live performance of "Welcome to the Show", which he had teased in the past few days before releasing it in full earlier that day.

Lambert took the red-lit stage in a white jacket paired with gloves and a black shirt. Midway through the song, he brought out Swedish singer/songwriter Laleh who sang her part while clad in a metallic dress with a long train.

After finishing the song, Lambert and Laleh praised each other while speaking to host Ryan Seacrest. "Laleh - what an amazing songwriter," the "Ghost Town" singer said. "She is so talented and we just wrote a banger and I'm so pumped."

Currently, it's unclear if "Welcome to the Show" will lead to a new Adam Lambert album. The singer's latest studio effort, "The Original High", was released last year. He's now in the middle of a tour to promote the project, which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard 200.
