The 'Girl Meets World' star gets close to a young man in flashback scenes of the visuals for her upcoming sophomore album's lead single.

AceShowbiz - The official visuals for Sabrina Carpenter's "Smoke and Fire" is finally out. After teasing it with some previews in the past few days, the Disney star finally premiered the music video on her Vevo channel Friday, March 11.

The clip features the 16-year-old singer as a ballerina. She's at first seen entering a building as everyone she meets in the hallway stares at her. In flashback scenes, she gets close to a young guy who gives her a necklace that she later throws away.

Carpenter explains the concept for the video in a recent chat with PEOPLE. "It's an artistic way to interpret the real meaning of smoke and fire without being literal," she said. "Of course it's fun to run into burning buildings, but it's not the reality of what happens after a breakup, that's just what it feels like."

"We show flashback memories of an innocent love story in the midst of post breakup beauty and heartbreak," she added.

"Smoke and Fire" is the first single off Carpenter's upcoming second album, which still has no official release date. "This album is just 100 percent me, my stories," the "Girl Meets World" star has said of the follow-up to last year's "Eyes Wide Open". "What I've been going through. It's super fun and I'm super, super, super proud of it."
