AceShowbiz - The Rolling Stones is heading to Havana, Cuba. Mick Jagger and his bandmates are confirmed to play a free gig dubbed "Concert for Amity" at Ciudad Deportiva de la Habana in Cuba on March 25.

"We have performed in many special places during our long career, but this show in Havana is going to be a landmark event for us, and, we hope, for all our friends in Cuba, too," the band said in a joint statement.

The Rolling Stones are currently touring South America, hitting Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Lim, Bogota and Mexico City. The band's 25 March will be their first ever show in Cuba, making them the biggest act to play a concert in the country since its 1959 revolution.

The concert announcement comes only days after U.S. President Barack Obama visited Cuba as the relations between the two countries normalized. It marked the first visit by an American president in more than 80 years.
