The 'Grease Live' star is under investigation of Arizona authorities after posting a picture of stone carved with her and Austin Butler's names.

AceShowbiz - Vanessa Hudgens finds herself in the middle of a police investigation after posting a picture of carved stone. Arizona authorities were alerted of the picture when the "Grease Live" star put it up on her Instagram page on Sunday, February 14 before removing it.

The picture is of Vanessa and boyfriend Austin Butler's names carved inside a heart on a red rock. The couple spent the weekend on the Arizona state which is famous for its red sandstone formations. Other pictures from their Sedona trip are still available on her account but the stone picture has been deleted.

Coconino National Forest spokesman Brady Smith said on Tuesday that authorities were looking into the accident. TMZ reported that Red Rock Ranger District of the Coconino National Forest had its sights set on the rock formation where Vanessa and Austin used to carve.

Should the actress be found guilty of damaging natural feature, she would be charged with a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and a maximum fine of $5,000. Meanwhile, the minimum punishment is a $100 fine and/or three months in jail.

Vanessa is yet to comment on the investigation report.
