New Album on the Way? Radiohead Sets Up New Company

For their previous two records, the English rock band released the efforts through their own distribution company.

AceShowbiz - There's a big chance that Radiohead will have a new release in near future. The band launched a new company called Dawn Chorus LLP in October 2015 and, if the pattern continues, a new album should follow up soon.

The rock band, fronted by Thom Yorke, had the habit of setting up new company before releasing an album. Before the release of 2007's "In Rainbows", the band formed Xurbia Xendless Ltd. to distribute the album. Ticker Tape Ltd. was established before 2011's "The King of Limbs" hit the shelves.

Radiohead had an unconventional way of releasing their albums. "In Rainbows" was recorded when the band had parted ways with EMI and was without any label. The album was eventually made available on their website and fans were told to "pay what you want." The next album was self-released as a download in MP3 and WAV formats, followed by physical CD and 12" vinyl releases as well as a special "newspaper" edition.

There's no clue about the new album but Yorke said back in 2009 that he was working on a song called "Dawn Chorus". Guitarist Jonny Greenwood later tweeted in October 2015 that there were lots of new materials for recording. Late last year, the English band shared an unreleased James Bond track which was scrapped in favor of Sam Smith's underwhelming "Writing's on the Wall".
