Craig David Covers Justin Bieber's 'Love Yourself', Adds New Freestyle
Music

The British singer speeds up the tempo and raps some new bars at one point during the song, which is originally featured on the Biebs' 'Purpose' album.

AceShowbiz - Craig David stopped by BBC Radio 1's "Live Lounge" on Wednesday, January 6. The British R&B singer was actually there to perform his new song called "When the Bassline Drops", but his cover of Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" was obviously the one that stole everyone's heart.

David's take on the hit was super awesome. He sped up the tempo and added a brand new verse at one point during the song, which was co-penned by Ed Sheeran and appears on the Biebs' newest chart-topping album, "Purpose".

Bieber has yet to respond to David's cover, but fans can only imagine that he'll give his stamp of approval. The Canadian heartthrob is no stranger to the 34-year-old crooner, after all. He sampled David's "Fill Me in" on a song titled "Recovery" off his 2013 project, "Journals".

David also seems to be a fan of Bieber. Prior to his performance of "Love Yourself", he remixed "Fill Me in" using the instrumental from the pop superstar's "Where Are U Now".
