The minute-long video features the beloved characters, including Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Ernie, Burt, Abby Cadabby, Count von Count and Oscar the Grouch, as well as Jon Hamm, Pharrell Williams, Tina Fey and Usher who have guest starred on the show.

The new season will open with two 30-minute episodes on January 16, 2016 at 9 A.M. ET before it becomes available on PBS next fall. The show will introduce a new cast member, Nina, a Hispanic woman played by Suki Lopez.

A young, bilingual woman, she is described a tinkerer, a builder and a fixer who works at the laundromat and the bike store. Her natural curiosity allows her to come up with out-of-the box solutions to Elmo and the gang's problems, modeling creative problem-solving strategies.

The upcoming season will also feature some changes, such as new show opening and closing songs, an updated set and a new segment called "Smart Cookies", which will feature Cookie Monster and a team of crime-fighting cookie friends on call day and night to thwart the continued efforts of The Crumb, a villain with many tricks up his sleeve.
