Jeremy Renner Nabs Role as Legendary Boxer Rocky Marciano
Movie

'Undefeated: The Rocky Marciano Story' is a biopic that follows the heavyweight champion from his childhood to his death.

AceShowbiz - Jeremy Renner is tackling an iconic boxer for his next starring role. The 44-year-old actor is booked to star as Rocky Marciano in a biopic titled "Undefeated: The Rocky Marciano Story".

Marciano is the only heavyweight champion to retire from his professional career undefeated, with a record of 49-0. Deemed the best heavyweight boxers of all time, he held the title six times between 1952 and 1956 before retiring at the age of 32. He died in a plane crash shortly before his 46th birthday in August 1969.

The film will follow Marciano from his childhood until his death. Script is written by Samuel Franco and Evan Kilgore, the same writing duo whose script about John F. Kennedy's days as Navy just landed on 2015 Blacklist.

Morris S. Levy, who owns the rights to the life story, will produce the Marciano film. No director is attached yet.
