It's no secret that President Barack Obama has an ear for hip-hop music and he aptly picks Lamar's 'How Much a Dollar Cost'.

AceShowbiz - Kendrick Lamar's "How Much a Dollar Cost" and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" probably had been played several times inside the White House. United States President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama revealed their favorite songs of the year 2015 in addition to favorite movies and books to PEOPLE.

Lamar's single, which features Ronald Isley and James Fauntleroy, becomes Barack's favorite tune. Coincidentally, the album "To Pimp a Butterfly" has White House as the cover. Released in March this year, the effort is nominated for Album of the Year and Best Rap Album at the upcoming 58th Grammy Awards.

Meanwhile, Michelle cannot get enough of Ronson's upbeat song which features Bruno Mars. Earlier this year, she challenged Ellen DeGeneres on the latter's show to a dance-off featuring the song. The dance was to celebrate the fifth anniversary of Michelle's "Let's Move" campaign to raise awareness on active, healthy living and combat obesity in the United States. She also plans to release a Hip-Hop album for the cause.

In the movie department, Barack chose sci-fi thriller "The Martian" while Michelle picked animated flick "Inside Out (2015)". He liked to sit with Lauren Groff's novel "Fates and Furies" while she enjoyed Elizabeth Alexander's "The Light of the World". "Never, even in my most grandiose dreams, did I think the president would read my book, let alone like it," Groff said through her publisher, Riverhead Books.
