'Scream Queens': Lea Michele Teases Her Possibly Reversed Role in Season 2
TV

Michele is up to return for the second season should FOX greenlight it, saying that she has talked with co-creator Ryan Murphy about what will happen to Hester next.

AceShowbiz - "Scream Queens" co-creator Ryan Murphy once said that there would be four characters from season 1 who would return for season 2. Given that [SPOILER ALERT!] Lea Michele's Hester survived at the end of the first season, there's a strong possibility that she may be back for the next installment, if FOX renews the show.

In fact, Hester was revealed to be the mastermind behind all those murders surrounding the Kappa sorority. She got away with it after using a high-heeled shoe to puncture her own eyeball, and pinned all those murders on the three remaining Chanels, who were then sent to an asylum.

Speaking to various outlets about the shocking twist, Michele hints that she will likely return for the second season. "I'm already waiting, I'm patiently waiting!" she says when asked by ET Online if she would reprise her role as Hester. "Obviously, Ryan has shared with a few of us what his ideas for next year are and I think that they're so exciting and I'm down."

Michele shares that Murphy's idea for the next installment involves a new killer and she imagines Hester in a different position. "I think it will be really great too to see Hester in that environment. Ryan shared that next year there would be a whole new killer and so to see her really in the position of being the victim, I think would be really fun to play," she gushes.

To Variety, Michele hints that Emma Roberts who plays Chanel Oberlin may return as well. "We're playing the same characters in a new location. We would all go somewhere, and it's explained why we're going where we're going. Hopefully Emma Roberts will be back for sure, too," she goes on dishing.

She also reveals that the next season will pay homage to a classic horror film, just like the freshman season. "I do know what Ryan's plan is and it's really fun," Michelle claims, "It's an homage to another classic horror film. This year was 'Heathers'. Next season would be a take on another classic girl film."

Regarding the last scene which saw someone in the Red Devil costume standing over Chanel who had been sent to an asylum with Chanel #3 and Chanel #5, Michele says that could've been Hester, "but it also could have been a dream."
