The 55-year-old actor was seen with the medical device while running errands in Malibu, California on Friday, December 4.

AceShowbiz - The mystery surrounding Val Kilmer and his bandana continues less than two months after he declared he was free of tumor or infection. On Friday, December 4, the actor was spotted with loose bandana, revealing what appears to be a tracheostomy tube which helps a patient breathe. He was carrying bags of groceries outside Trader Joe's store.

Kilmer had appeared mostly covered up in the neck area for months. He also posted a close-up photo of himself on Facebook with his clothing going up to his chin. "I love reading in the sun," he captioned the pic of him wearing sunglasses.

The 55-year-old actor previously denied any health issue despite seen at the UCLA Medical Center. "Thank you all for your love and support. There's a rumor I'm unwell again and in hospital which is totally untrue. I was in to verify I have no tumor or infection of any kind which was verified by the very caring experts at UCLA," he wrote on Facebook in October.

In January, he was rushed to hospital and underwent several tests to detect possible tumor. Following his release the next month, Kilmer told fans, "I have not had a tumor, or a tumor operations, or any operation ...I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to stay under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU."
