The 'San Andreas' actress is set to reunite with The Rock in the remake, playing a character named Summer.

AceShowbiz - The upcoming "Baywatch" remake has found a leading lady in Alexandra Daddario. The actress who played The Rock's onscreen daughter in disaster movie "San Andreas" will reunite with the wrestler-turned-actor in the reboot. They will also share screen with Zac Efron.
"IT'S OFFICIAL: Want to welcome the talented and gorgeous @alexannadaddario to the cast of #BAYWATCH for the role of 'Summer'. Alex is a one of kind woman (I know from experience) and can't wait for you guys to see her own the role," The Rock announced on Instagram.
Dwayne Johnson continued, "The female roles of #BAYWATCH have become extremely hot properties around Hollywood and as promised, the quality women we'll cast are stepping into these roles to have fun and make them iconic for the world to enjoy."
He added, "The #BaywatchFamily so far consists of a tatted up bald guy named Rock, the cool, yet extremely unattractive Zac Efron, the talented and gorgeous Alexandra Daddario...and some big casting announcements coming soon. And juuuuust wait til you guys see who we cast for the iconic role of CJ Parker."
In the original TV series, Casey Jean "C.J." Parker is a character made famous by Pamela Anderson while a character named Summer was used to be portrayed by Nicole Eggert. The original series also starred David Hasselhoff who recently dropped the "Hassel" from his name.
Daddario was picked as Summer among candidates like Ashley Benson, Nina Dobrev, Shelley Hennig, Bianca Santos, Alexandra Shipp, and Denyse Tontz.
