AceShowbiz - "The Diary of a Teenage Girl" receives the most nods with a total of four including Best Feature at the upcoming Gotham Independent Film Awards. Other indie darlings that get multiple nominations include "Carol", "Spotlight", and "Tangerine".
Cate Blanchett is nominated for Best Actress along with Blythe Danner, Brie Larson, Bel Powley, Lily Tomlin, and Kristen Wiig. Meanwhile, Peter Sarsgaard is up for Best Actor alongside Michael Shannon, Kevin Corrigan, Christopher Abbott, and Paul Dano.
The 2015 Best Actor/Best Actress nominating panel also voted to award a special Gotham Jury Award jointly to Mark Ruffalo, Michael Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Stanley Tucci, and Brian D'Arcy James for their ensemble work in "Spotlight".
The Gotham Awards will take place Monday, November 30 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York. Robert Redford and Helen Mirren are among the special honorees.
