Bryan Cranston Wants 'Nasty' Supervillain Role in Marvel Film

The actor is not done playing the bad guy, saying he is interested in a villainous role which is specially made for him.

AceShowbiz - If he decides to join the superhero family, Bryan Cranston wants a really nasty villain role. The "Breaking Bad" star said in an interview that he would really love to dig up his bad side in a classic Marvel film.

"You know what I'd like to do? I'd like to do some big superhero villain in some Marvel classic," Cranston told U.K.'s Metro. However, he wanted the character made from scratch and not taken from existing comic books. "I don't know what I would do, but it would be nasty," he said.

Marvel has some openings for the mentioned role. The studio recently announced several superhero films which are yet to cast the baddies. The upcoming films are "Ant-Man and the Wasp", "Captain Marvel" and "Black Panther".

Cranston spoke to the newspaper at the London Film Festival where he was promoting his latest movie "Trumbo". The 59-year-old actor stars as 1940s screenwriter Dalton Trumbo who comes to a crushing end when he and other Hollywood figures are blacklisted for their political beliefs. Starring also Helen Mirren, "Trumbo" will be released November 6 stateside.
