AceShowbiz - Carlos Santana, 68, fell victim to internet death hoax. The false rumor started flying around on Twitter after a Canadian journalist, CBC's Chris Walker, wrote that the iconic singer's body was found in a car. Carlos' daughter Stella quickly set the record straight.

"Not true," she responded to Walker's tweet. "Texting with him now but thanks for ruining my day." Carlos' team added, "Carlos is alive and well and enjoying his morning! Thank you all for your concern, but the reports of his passing are false."

The journalist returned to Twitter for apology, "I unreservedly apologize for previous tweets regarding Carlos Santana. Wrong to rely on single source, and against CBC policy besides." To Stella, he added, "Would like to apologize to you and your family in person."

Stella replied, "No need. best thing to do is stop talking about it and do better next time." She additionally said that she took the positive out of it, "It did just make me buy a ticket to go visit him this weekend :-)."
