First Photo of Woody Harrelson From 'LBJ' Emerges
Movie

The first photo from the biopic shows Harrelson's Lyndon B. Johnson leading a D.C. committee meeting on equal employment opportunity.

AceShowbiz - While production continues on Rob Reiner's "LBJ", the first still from the biopic has surfaced. Making its way out via Entertainment Weekly, the photo features Woody Harrelson as Lyndon Baines Johnson, the 36th President of the United States.

The photo captures Harrelson's Johnson wearing a grey suit over a striped tie. The scene in the photo is presumably set in 1960s, during a D.C. committee meeting on equal employment opportunity.

The suit is the one Harrelson wore when he was spotted on New Orleans set. The 54-year-old actor looks identical to the former president as the makeup artist team creates special prosthetic applications that totally transform Harrelson's appearance. To approach LBJ's body structure, Harrelson has to wear a pair of platform shoes because he is apparently not as tall as Johnson.

Joey Hartstone, the script writer of the biopic recently talked about Harrelson's transformation, "Lyndon Johnson is the most complicated and fascinating character I've ever had the pleasure of writing. It will be incredible to see Woody transform into Johnson, and to watch Rob tell this story."

"LBJ" revolves around the moment that the incredibly diminished vice president is suddenly thrust into the most powerful office in the world after the assassination of JFK in November 1963. Kim Allen, Bill Pullman and Richard Jenkins are also in the cast of the movie which is expected to arrive in the U.S. in 2016.
