'Arrow' Debuts First Look at Diggle's New Costume for Season 4

John Diggle (David Ramsey) is getting a mask to protect his identity when he moonlights as a vigilante.

AceShowbiz - Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) is not the only one who gets a new suit when "Arrow" returns this fall. John Diggle (David Ramsey) will be equipped with a super suit that will conceal his identity when he helps the titular hero fight crime in Star City in season 4.

The CW has released the first look at Diggle's new costume. It consists of a black helmet and black leather jacket. The new costume will be first seen in the fourth season premiere set to air on Wednesday, October 7 at 8 P.M. on The CW.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim said that Diggle was never a fan of super suit. "We try to be very consistent with our characterization," he told EW. "I don't think Diggle looks at it as a costume per se."

He added, "Oliver, in the last season, gave him advice in terms of concealing his identity, and so Diggle approaches it from a very practical standpoint. He followed Oliver's advice and he's got a means of concealing his identity, but I think Diggle would probably react to anyone calling it a costume."

In season 4, Diggle will fight against big bad Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) and his H.I.V.E., who were responsible for his brother's death. Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg told The Hollywood Reporter, "You'll see [Diggle] take on a leadership role on Team Arrow in Oliver's absence. But Damien Darhk is going to prove to be much more than he can handle on his own, and that's when Oliver is brought back to help."
