AceShowbiz - President Barack Obama is ready to experience life in the wilderness on "Running Wild with Bear Grylls". The POTUS will appear in an upcoming special edition of the reality adventure series starring Bear Grylls, NBC has announced.
President Obama and British survivalist Grylls will venture through the Alaskan wilderness to observe the effects of climate change on the area in the special episode. The president departs for Anchorage on Monday, August 31 and is set to visit the towns of Dillingham and Kotzebue, as well as tour Exit Glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park during his three-day trip.
The episode starring President Obama will air later this year. Other celebrities who have been previously featured on the show include Channing Tatum, Kate Winslet, Zac Efron, Kate Hudson and Michelle Rodriguez among others.
"Running Wild with Bear Grylls" isn't the only gig that marks President Obama's unconventional TV appearance. He's also set to appear on HBO's "VICE Special Report: Fixing The System" on September 27. In the said episode, he will visit a federal prison.
