AceShowbiz - Missy Elliott is joining the crowd at "The Voice" season 9. The rapper has been confirmed to be joining the reality TV competition, serving as the advisor for Pharrell Williams' team. E! News reported the collaboration and had a photo of the two working together in rehearsals for the battle rounds.

This isn't the first collaboration for Pharrell and Missy. Back in April, Pharrell confirmed on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" that he was working with Missy on her new album.

Missy followed in the footsteps of Lionel Richie and Alicia Keys who have previously served as Pharrell's advisers. The hip-hop superstar is joining the rest of season nine's guest advisers, which consist of Selena Gomez who is set to mentor returning coach Gwen Stefani's team, country crooner Brad Paisley who will mentor Blake Shelton's team, and John Fogerty who is on hand mentoring Adam Levine's team.

"The Voice" will return to NBC on Monday, September 21. Rihanna is set to be the key adviser for all of the contestants, a role previously filled by Taylor Swift and Nate Ruess.
