AceShowbiz - Harry Connick Jr.'s daughter, Georgia Connick, was taken into police custody over the weekend following a house party at her family's home in New Canaan, Connecticut. The 19-year-old girl was charged with procuring alcohol for minors and permitting minors to possess alcohol.

At the time, Harry was reportedly in Philadelphia for auditions for the upcoming final and 15th season of "American Idol". "Season 15 here we come!" he tweeted a selfie on Saturday. "@americanidol #idol #BestSeasonYet #stalkie." His wife, former model Jill Goodacre, was also out of town.

Authorities came to the house in response to a report that there was underage drinking taking place on the property. When the cops arrived on the scene, many of the young partygoers were running into the woods surrounding the property in an attempt to escape the police.

Beer cans were found on the property and 15 youngsters, aged between 18 and 20 years old, were left at the house. Their parents were contacted by the cops following the incident. George told officers that it was supposed to be a small get together but grew out of proportion.

"This is a private matter which we are dealing with as a family," Harry told PEOPLE regarding the incident. "We have no further comments. Thank you for understanding." His daughter is due to appear in court on September 2.
