The former 'Tonight Show' host made some controversial comments during a panel of his upcoming show 'Jay Leno's Garage' at the TCA press tour on Thursday, August 13.

AceShowbiz - Jay Leno made controversial remarks about Donald Trump, Stephen Colbert and Bill Cosby at the Television Critics Association press tour on Thursday, August 13. Jay was appearing on a panel to promote his new show "Jay Leno's Garage".

Jay said of Donald's current media circus, "It's interesting watching this whole thing unfold. [Donald] and Jeb Bush are frontrunners. Kind of like the race between the tortoise and the bad hare. [Sen. John] McCain not being a hero? Without McCain the North would have lost the Civil War. And Trump had a medical deferment. He had an inter-rectal cranial inversion - his head was up his ass. There's a lot of those."

When asked about his opinion on Stephen's upcoming arrival on CBS's "Late Show", Jay said, "The idea of a white guy in late night - this will be revolutionary. I would like to see a bit more diversity... that being said, I think Colbert will be terrific... He's smart. People think he's this raging liberal - he teaches Sunday school."

Following the panel session, Jay spoke to a smaller group of reporters about Bill's sexual assault scandal. "Bill Cosby is a wonderful comedian and has always been a nice man, I feel bad about this as anybody does," he shared, "But I don't know how he comes out of it."

"I find it fascinating - how many accusers does he have now? 40? Well, 50 women come forward and people call them liars. And they go, 'Oh, you waited 40 years?' Men waited 50 years to say, 'A priest touched me,' and they got 7 million dollars," he continued. "How come we believe them and we don't believe the women? It does seem awful sexist to me. ... It does seem very unfair, and I'm surprised no one's ever made that analogy."

In another interview with TVInsider, Jay slammed Jimmy and his show "Jimmy Kimmel Live!". He thought Jimmy was talented but his comedy has a "mean streak." He explained, "The most element you can have in doing a late night show is kindness. Because the show makes you arrogant. I think that's Jimmy Kimmel's problem. I think he's a talented guy, I think he's funny. But he has a mean streak, and it comes across."

"He does this thing where he takes Halloween candy from kids and the kids cry. What am I missing here? It is funny I guess, but it's mean-based," he continued, "I think that's why he's not higher in the ratings."
