Kevin Garvey, his daughter Jill and his new girlfriend Nora Durst move to another town looking for a fresh start, only to be rocked by another tragedy.

AceShowbiz - HBO has released the first full trailer for "The Leftovers" season 2. As revealed before, the upcoming season sees some characters relocating to Jarden, a small town in eastern Texas dubbed Miracle, because none of its residents disappeared during the Departure.

Kevin Garvey (Justin Theroux), his daughter Jill (Margaret Qualley) and his new girlfriend Nora Durst (Carrie Coon) move there hoping to get a fresh start. They meet their new neighboors, the Murphy family (played by Kevin Carroll, Regina King, Jasmin Savoy Brown and Jovan Adepo), and things look good until the daughter of the Murphys was missing one night and a new mystery starts.

A fight breaks out, members of the Guilty Remnant begin to make appearance and chaos ensues. "There are no miracles in miracles," someone says. The video also offers a glimpse of Patti Levin (Ann Dowd), the leader of the local chapter of the Guilty Remnant, who was presumed dead.

Series creator Damon Lindelof said at the TCA summer press tour on July 30 about Patti's shocking return, "Suffice to say, she's a huge problem that needs to be solved. We don't want to use her as a Shakespearean ghost, which is to say she's someone there just to comment on the action. She's in the show, but we don't really want to talk too specifically about how she manifests."

He also revealed the theme of season 2, "Season one was about how a family fell apart, and season two is about how a family comes back together." He went on sharing, "In the normal world, if someone goes missing, we say they're a victim of foul play or they ran away. But in this world, there's a third possibility. Season 2 explores that idea of sudden loss."

"The Leftovers" season 2 premieres Sunday, October 4 at 9 P.M. on HBO.
