The 'Iron Man' actor leads the list of world's highest-paid actor in 2015 with $80 payday, defeating Chinese actor Jackie Chan who earned $50 million.

AceShowbiz - "Iron Man" star Robert Downey Jr. has topped Forbes' list of the World's Highest-Paid Actors for the third year in a row. From June 1, 2014 to June 1, 2015, Downey Jr. earned $80 million, up from $75 million last year.
Downey Jr.'s earning was largely from the superhero role he played in Marvel Cinematic Universe, especially in the latest movie "Avengers: Age of Ultron". His earning was so hard to defeat as Chinese actor Jackie Chan only earned $50 million on the second position, which was significantly less than Downey Jr.. Chan's success came not only from China productions but also from Hollywood productions.
Third place honor went to "Fast and Furious" actor Vin Diesel who earned $47 million and was followed by "American Sniper" star Bradley Cooper who garnered $41.5 million. Rounding out the top five was funny actor Adam Sandler with a payday of $41 million.
The rest of the list contained many expected names such as the likes of Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp, Channing Tatum and Will Smith. However, it is a little bit surprising that Chris Pratt and Brad Pitt were on the nearly lowest position.
Following the annual list of higest-paid actor, Forbes will release the list for the actresses soon. It is quite reasonable that Forbes separates the lists by gender because in general, women make less than men in almost every career field. So if the list included both men and women, it would be hard for women to secure a position in the list.
