'High School Musical' Cast Reunites at Disney's 'Descendants' Premiere

Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel and Olesya Rulin supported director Kenny Ortega at the premiere of his new Disney movie at the Burbank, California on Friday.

AceShowbiz - "High School Musical" cast reunited on Friday night, July 24 at the premiere of Disney's movie "Descendants". Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Lucas Grabeel and Olesya Rulin were on hand to support "HSM" movies director Kenny Ortega, who also helmed the new TV movie, at the Burbank, California.

Although stars Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were missing from the group, Ortega couldn't hide his excitement to reunite with the other "HSM" actors again. He shared on Instagram a picture of them together at the event and captioned it, "What team? Wildcats! And how I love you all! Thank you for celebrating with me."

Coleman took to her own Instagram to post other photos to capture the rare moment. "But first, let us take a #selfie! #Descendants Premiere supporting @kennyortegablog & #DisneyChannel #stillinthistogether," she wrote along with one of the images.

She captioned another picture, which is in black and white, "Tonight was indescribable! I don't have enough words to describe how amazing #Descendants was or how proud we all are of @kennyortegablog and the incredible cast!! #KennyOrtega is a visionary & he captured pure magic on the screen! I'm so grateful I got to share tonight with my framily! #wildcatreunion #HSM."

"Descendants" is a musical adventure comedy that focuses on the teenage children of Disney villains. Twenty years after the villains have been exiled to the Isle of the Lost, Ben, the son of Belle and the Beast, becomes the new King of the Kingdom and offers the kids of the villains a chance to redeem themselves.

These villainous descendants are allowed into Auradon for the first time to attend prep school alongside the teenage progeny of Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Mulan. As these sons and daughters of evil meet the children of goodness, their story incorporates empowering themes about self-confidence, finding the beauty within, freedom of choice, personal responsibility, teamwork, justice and empathy.

Starring Kristin Chenoweth as Maleficent, Kathy Najimy as the Evil Queen, Maz Jobrani as Jafar, and Wendy Raquel Robinson as Cruella de Vil, the movie will premiere Friday, July 31 at 8 P.M. ET on Disney Channel.
