AceShowbiz - Minka Kelly set the records straight on rumors claiming she's romancing Sean Penn. The 35-year-old actress took to Twitter on Wednesday, July 15 to make it clear that the reports were completely not true. "Not my nature to address gossip but hoping this last one goes away already. Not dating a friend I had a group dinner with. #sillymedia," so she wrote.
Minka and Sean were first rumored dating shortly after they were spotted having a dinner date together at The French Laundry in Napa Valley, California in late June. The extravagant dinner was reportedly a feast hosted by the Oscar winning-actor as a part of Minka's 35th birthday celebration.
During the dinner, the pair were accompanied by several friends and indulged in a chicken with the feet still attached, truffle mac and cheese and a birthday cake. The entourage and people at the restaurant serenaded Minka before she blew the birthday candles.
The romance rumors came just days after Sean ended his engagement to Charlize Theron after nearly one-and-a-half-year of dating. The couple was last seen together at Cannes Film Festival back in May. They reportedly called their engagement off shortly after the event.
OK! magazine even reported at that time that Minka was the third person causing Sean and Charlize's split. According to the publication, Sean and Minka had kept in touch after they met in 2013 at an event Sean hosted. A source reportedly told the tabloid that their constant communication was a "bone of contention with Charlize."
Minka previously dated several celebrities including Derek Jeter and Chris Evans.
