David Kallaway to Star in 'The Magnificent Seven'

The 'Mammoth' actor is set to star in Antoine Fuqua's 'The Magnificent Seven' alongside Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt and Ethan Hawke.

AceShowbiz - David Kallaway has signed on to star in samurai movie "The Magnificent Seven". In the upcoming movie, Kallaway will star alongside Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawke and Vincent D'Onofrio.

However, the details about the role Kallaway will play are still kept under wraps. Kallaway will appear in "Forced Move" and next year's "The Big Short". He is also known for his role in "Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties", "Mammoth" and "Stringers".

Set to hit U.S. theaters on January 13, 2017, "The Magnificent Seven" is a remake of the classic 1960 western film directed by John Sturges, which was inspired by Akira Kurosawa's 1954 film, "Seven Samurai". "The Magnificent Seven" centers on a woman (Haley Bennett) who hires a disparate group of gunslingers to protect her town from rampaging bandits.

Other stars attached to the film are Matthew Bomer, Peter Sarsgaard, Lee Byung Hun, Luke Grimes, Wagner Moura, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo and Billy Slaughter. Antoine Fuqua directs the movie while John Lee Hancock rewrites the script which was originally written by "True Detective" writer Nic Pizzolatto. It is scheduled for a release on January 13, 2017.
