Matthew McConaughey's Rep Denies Marriage to Camila Alves Is 'on the Rocks'

The 'Interstellar' actor was previously rumored to have marriage trouble with his wife as she's been making more TV appearances.

AceShowbiz - Contrary to circulating rumors, Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves's marriage is not "on the rocks." OK! Magazine previously reported that the couple was heading to splitsville because Camila has been making more TV appearances.

According to the mag, while the star of "The Wolf of Wall Street" once publicly thanked his wife for helping revive his career, "he doesn't want her to have the same success." After noting Camila's recent hosting gig on E! and appearances on "Today" show, the tabloid quotes a so-called "source" as claiming, "He'd rather she focus on family life."

"At this point, they have major problems to work through," the source said, before further alleging that Matthew's view has led the couple to have "nonstop fights." The magazine then claimed that the couple's friends feared they would separate soon.

A rep for Matthew told Gossip Cop that the rumor was not true. A mutual friend of the "Dallas Buyers Club" actor added that "[McConaughey] couldn't be more supportive of anything Camila does."

Matthew and Camile tied the knot on June 9, 2012 in Austin, Texas after six years of dating. The pair are parents to three children, son Levi, daughter Vida and son Livingstone.
