The RIAA announces that the Bajan beauty is the first and only artist whose singles have earned more than 100 million Gold and Platinum certifications.

AceShowbiz - Rihanna is still breaking records despite the fact that she hasn't released an album in three years. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has announced that the Bajan singer has surpassed more than 100 million Gold & Platinum song certifications.

RiRi now has the most Digital Single Awards, and is the first and only artist to surpass RIAA's 100 million cumulative singles award threshold, according to a statement issued by RIAA on Thursday, July 1.

"Gold & Platinum is the industry's premier way to celebrate achievement in the marketplace," said Cary Sherman, Chairman & CEO, RIAA. "We've given awards to artists for nearly 60 years, but it's rare that we have the opportunity to recognize a milestone like the one Rihanna has reached. Congratulations to Rihanna! She has not only surpassed RIAA's one-hundred million mark, but also is the first artist to do so. It's an historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career."

Responding to the news, Rihanna took to Twitter to thank her fans. "Today is a day I'll never forget!!! Thank you #RihannaNavy for allowing me to make history with you!" she wrote.

The 27-year-old superstar's certifications encompass 37 different singles she has released so far, including 9X multi-Platinum Award for "We Found Love", 6X multi-Platinums for "Stay", "What's My Name" and "Only Girl (In the World)", 2X multi-Platinum for "FourFiveSeconds" and a Platinum for "B***h Better Have My Money".
