Mexico will not send representative to the beauty pageant after the country's media giant cut ties with Donald Trump following his negative remarks on Mexican.

AceShowbiz - The upcoming Miss Universe pageant will have one less contestant. Mexico announces they will not send representative to the beauty competition sponsored by Donald Trump's organization after the business mogul made derogatory comments about Mexican immigrants during his speech for presidential campaign.

"As a Mexican, I feel very offended and indignant like everyone else, as Miss Universe I think Donald Trump is doing great harm to the organization," Former Miss Universe Lupita Jones tweeted in Spanish. "Miss Universe is a contest with a great history in the world, which has been characterized by convening countries to participate in an event where friendship and unity is prominent, breaking down cultural barriers."

"It's a shame that because of his racist comments we lose what the competition has promoted and represented for so many years in an atmosphere of harmony and peace among nations; therefore, and in accordance to the statement by Televisa, we will not participate in Miss Universe," she added.

The decision comes shortly after Mexican media giant, Televisa, announced they would no longer air the beauty contest or work in any other project with the presidential hopeful. "Mr. Trump hasn't demonstrated understanding or respect toward Mexican migrants and has offended the entire Mexican population," the company said. "Televisa isn't indifferent to these declarations and energetically condemns all forms of discrimination, racism and xenophobia."
