AceShowbiz - DMX was taken into police custody on Friday, June 26. The 44-year-old hip-hop star whose real name is Earl Simmons was picked up by police in New York when he was heading to Radio City Music Hall for a scheduled performance.
The rapper was arrested "for several issues outstanding" including $400,000 in unpaid child support. A warrant was also reportedly issued for bail jumping, being an aggravated unlicensed motor vehicle operator, and another criminal complaint.
DMX was supposed to perform at the Master of Ceremony concert which featured music acts like Shabba Ranks, Rakim, and Mase. It went on as scheduled without the "Party Up (Up in Here)" hitmaker.
DMX has a long history of trouble with the law. His past arrests ranged from animal cruelty, reckless driving, drug possession, to probation violations.
