Julia Stiles to Reprise Her Role in 'Bourne 5'

The 34-year-old actress will return as CIA agent Nicky Parsons in the fifth instalment of the movie.

AceShowbiz - %cJulia Stiles% is set to reprise her role as CIA agent Nicky Parsons in "Bourne 5". Julia will join %cMatt Damon% and director Paul Greengrass who is also returning to the movie. %cAlicia Vikander% is also in talks to join the cast while %cViggo Mortensen% is reportedly offered a villainous role.

Frank Marshall will produce the fifth installment of "Bourne" film along with Matt, Paul, Greg Goodman and Jeffrey Weiner. Paul is writing the screenplay along with Christopher Rouse, who will also serve as executive producer with Henry Morrison. Production should begin shortly as the action-mystery movie is slated for a July 29, 2016 release.

In other news, %cJeremy Renner% is still getting a sequel for his "Bourne" spin-off "The Bourne Legacy". In an interview with SlashFilm, Frank Marshall is asked how Jeremy's character Aaron Cross would fit into "Bourne 5" starring Matt Damon. He responds, "They're still two different projects, two different films."

Back in 2013, it was announced that "Bourne 5" was being planned with Jeremy returning as Aaron Cross. At that time, Universal hired Tony Gilroy and Anthony Peckham to write the script with "Fast and Furious" director Justin Lin tapped to helm the project. In 2014, Andrew Baldwin was brought to re-write the script. After the release date was pushed back from 2015 to 2016, Matt and Paul announced in November 2014 that they will return to the movie franchise.
