AceShowbiz - While the real cause behind Victoria Siegel's death hasn't been determined yet, family of "The Queen of Versailles" star released a statement detailing circumstances surrounding her death. They revealed in the statement that the teen had prescription drug addiction long before she passed away.

"The Siegel family is devastated and heartbroken by the loss of their beloved Victoria," the statement released on Monday, June 8 begins. "They are hurt, deeply wounded and they are grieving. Victoria was a beautiful spirit with a wonderful smile who was greatly loved, and will be deeply missed."

The statement goes on addressing possibility that drugs were the main cause of her death. "Victoria had a history of seizures and was prescribed medication for this condition," so the message reads. "Unfortunately she became dependent and struggled with this condition. She voluntarily underwent rehabilitation and was working hard to address this problem."

"While an autopsy has been performed the cause of death has not been determined. It is likely that Victoria ingested one or more drugs prior to her death," the statement goes on to add. "However, we cannot determine at this time whether or not the drugs she took were in fact prescribed medication, something else, or where and how these drugs may have been obtained."

The statement concludes, "The family is deeply appreciative of the outpouring of support that they have received and request that their privacy be respected while they mourn their loss."

Victoria was found unresponsive on Saturday, June 6 at her family's Florida house and was later pronounced dead at hospital. According to the statement, on the day Victoria died, her parents were attending a wedding in Park City, Utah and immediately returned home after hearing the news.
